Multi-Protein Syntha 6 of BSN is designed from 6 different sources of protein. These proteins have been selected for their profile: rich in amino acids, having optimum nutritive qualities, they also have a different rates of absorption. While some are fast digesting, others are delayed in digestion, allowing the whey to provide the body with resources for up to 6 hours in a row.
To contribute to muscle recovery and development, it contains a significant amount of BCAA including essential and non-essential amino acids that the body does not produce on its own. It is also enriched with MCT, medium-chain triglycerides, high-energy fatty acids that help boost the workout. For each dose of 47g, we find, in figures: 22g of proteins, 10g of amino acids, 15g of carbohydrates, 6g of lipids, 2g of sugar and 200 calories. The rather high dose of carbohydrates per dose makes it a multi-protein that is aimed rather to athletes seeking mass.
Each dose is also an excellent source of fiber (up to 5g), which facilitates digestion and intestinal transit. Manufactured without aspartame, without added sugar or artificial coloring, it is finally comes in 9 different flavors that are mastered.

- Easily dissolves and digests
- Excellent source of fiber

The Protein Blend
As you may have read in some of our product tests, not all proteins are absorbed by the body at the same rates, so if you take a supplement at the wrong time you can both waste your time and money .
A blend of Whey Protein Concentrate, Whey Protein Isolate, Calcium Caseinate, Micellar Casein, Milk Protein Isolate, Egg Albumen, and Glutamine Peptides
That is, BSN arrives with a mixture using 22g of 6 different proteins to optimize the performance and the creation of muscle tissues.
But the protein concentration slightly lower than in many other brands, with a usual dosage rather around 24m.
So, we see that Syntha 6 of BSN is distinguished from other proteins by its absorption capabilities which can last several hours. Thanks to 6 well-chosen protein sources and supplement profiles, it becomes an ideal dietary supplement at any time of day, whether day or night. As effective in the morning as in post-workout, it can also be consumed just before going to bed to give the body the opportunity to recover muscles during sleep.
The Carbohydrates in BSN Syntha 6 Protein Powder
Most manufacturers of protein supplements try to reduce the carbohydrate content of their products as much as possible. Generally they revolve around 2-5 gm per serving.
On the other hand, BSN Syntha 6 contains about 13g (depending on the flavor). This is not a mistake on the part of BSN, but it is an integral part of their strategy. By increasing the amount of carbohydrates per serving, your body draws its fuel from them as it should, instead of using proteins.
This brings benefits on 2 levels. How is this ?
First, it means that the amount of protein present in each scoop is well used to create and recover muscles.
Secondly, when protein is used as fuel to bring energy to the body, this can lead to dehydration faster, especially during intense workout even if you drink liquids regularly. Using carbohydrates as a source of energy does not have the same effects, so the depletion of water and electrolyte resources is less to happen.
Note: 5gm of total carbohydrate per serving is fiber, equivalent to 20% of the recommended daily intake (based on a 2000 calorie / day diet). If your diet is low in fiber, it is a good little boost.
The amino acids in BSN Syntha 6 whey protein
Usually this is the moment I make a brief breakdown about the amino acids of this supplement , as well as their function in the body. However the people of BSN did not let filter this information . When you visit their site, you will be told:
"Unfortunately, we cannot release SYNTHA-6's exact amino acid profile, owing to the fact that the blend is proprietary. By releasing this amino acid breakdown, we would be potentially opening the door to competitors copying the ratios."
If your complement regimen is intense and precise, for medical or competition reasons, this information may be crucial.
But with BSN, they say that if you have a "specific request" about a "specific concentration of a certain amino acid", you can contact with their technical support and someone will help you to answer your question.
You can call me a doubtful, but if someone from the research and development sector can give me the information by telephone, could they just print it on the label? Or is it that the R and D people follow a ready answer?
Nutritional Info BSN Syntha-6 protein
The macro nutrient composition of Syntha-6 is a little different from many protein powders on the market. As I said before, it is richer in carbohydrates than its competitors, and the same can be said of the calories. Usually this is between 100-120 per serving, but with this product from BSN it is almost double.

Taste and Miscibility
This is where Syntha6 is positioned far ahead. BSN promotes its product as:
" Breaking down the taste barrier of whey protein once and for all by introducing the SYNTHA-6 ™, simply delicious "
I'm happy to tell you they're right. If you remember some of my previous product tests, I have been able to say a number of times that taste is not a very important concern for me. I'm more of a "result oriented" type.
That said, I tested the Flavor Mint Chocolate and Mochaccino and I was amazed by their good taste , especially when mixed with skim milk.
Looking at other product review sites, I did not find one negative opinion regarding the taste of one of the 9 flavors offered. At Bodybuilding.com each flavor gets a score of 9.0 or more for 11,000 users. This is truly remarkable.
The product is also very good in terms of mixability. Syntha6 contains Casein, which can be naturally a little sticky. I found this powder to mix very well in water and milk without lumps or sandy texture.
Although Syntha-6 is a high quality product with some strengths, it has a lower protein content than other supplements of continuous release protein. But the best thing is the release of protein.
I can recommend it to those who can afford it, who do not feel too concerned about their amino acid intake or who think that the taste is more important than the protein content . And I give it a score of 8.5/10 .
